Quick Reference of What’s Included With Venue Rental of The 228 in Sterling

Venue rental of The 228 includes a wide variety of different amenities and resources, and other items and amenities are available for an additional fee. See below for a list of everything that’s included with the “Just the Venue” fee.

Amenities of the Barn:

  • Heat & A/C as needed
  • Ceiling fans
  • Men’s, ladies’ & family/handicapped accessible restrooms
  • Prep kitchen for caterer’s use
  • Wheelchair accessible ramp into the barn and flat grounds
  • Real sliding cross-buck entry doors

Items Included With Venue Rental:

  • House round tables (6’) chairs in the barn
  • Furniture on the patio
  • Chairs and spool table around the firepit
  • The picnic tables under the pavilion
  • The Edison bulb string lights under the pavilion
  • The buffet serving tables in the barn
  • In-house speaker system for DJ use in the barn, the patio and the field
  • (2) Two moveable bar stations–one in the barn, one on the patio (conditions apply)
  • 4’ & 6’ tables set where needed
  • The custom-made rolling cake cart for use in the barn
  • The (2) two large metal tables on the patio
  • (2) Two hours set up time before your event
  • Non-alcoholic drink station-(3) three jars-you bring the drinks, ice & cups and our staff will keep them filled
  • Accessory small wooden tables as needed
  • Charming decor-updated seasonally
  • Louvered or bi-fold accent doors to hold seating assignments, photos, etc…

For Weddings:

  • One hour of rehearsal time – schedule with Venue Coordinator around existing events
  • Use of one of our outdoor ceremony sites plus your choice of seating from one of our providers.
  • A ceremony “Plan B” in case of poor weather supported by The 228 staff.

The 228 Staff Prepares the Venue by:

  • Positioning any 228 rental items for your event where specified
  • Using the dumpster for disposal of plastic or paper dishes, disposable silverware, napkins, and any unwanted small décor items during and after your event
  • Packing up all items you, the client, brought to the event
  • Loading vehicles at the conclusion of your event
  • Cleaning the barn and grounds after your event on your behalf
  • and is available should you or your guests have need of anything during your scheduled event time.
